Evidence should identify the exact machine
A used-equipment listing cannot establish condition on its own. Before agreeing commercial terms, ask for evidence that connects the machine shown, inspected, documented, and loaded to one serial/PIN.
What to request
- •Clear current photos of the serial/PIN plate, engine plate, hour meter, and machine identification.
- •Current walk-around or operating video that identifies the same unit shown in the documents.
- •The available inspection scope, date, observations, and any material limitations for that specific machine.
- •Written clarification of visible repairs, known faults, attachments, and any information that could not be verified.
- •Commercial and shipping documents that repeat the same unit identification before payment or loading.
Important limits
Available evidence varies by unit, location, equipment access, and seller records. An inspection only covers the agreed scope and does not replace an independent assessment where the transaction risk requires one. Third-party inspections depend on the selected provider, yard access, timing, and buyer requirements.
