Ocean Cargo Insurance
Every HMP CIF shipment is insured under Institute Cargo Clause A (all-risks) for 0.5% CIF value through China Pacific Insurance (CPIC) or Ping An Insurance. Insurance coverage begins at the moment the container is loaded aboard vessel and ends when the container is delivered to the buyer's named destination port. In the event of transit damage, HMP handles the insurance claim on the buyer's behalf — no buyer-side claim paperwork required in the first instance.
Destination-Side Buyer Responsibilities
Import classification, duties, age rules, inspection requirements, and customs documents vary by destination and date. Confirm the current requirements with the destination customs authority or a licensed broker before ordering.
Total Timeline Summary
End-to-end timeline from buyer deposit to machine delivery on the buyer's yard: typically 6-10 weeks depending on destination. Shanghai to Manila is fastest at approximately 4-5 weeks total; Shanghai to Santos is longest at approximately 9-10 weeks. HMP provides real-time container tracking updates by WhatsApp throughout the ocean transit, so buyers never experience "where is my container?" uncertainty during the multi-week ocean voyage.
