What is included in a used excavator CIF quote?
The written quote should identify the exact machine and normally separate equipment price, ocean freight and insurance to the named destination port. Duties, taxes, port handling and inland delivery must be confirmed separately unless expressly included.
Should I ask for FOB, CIF or CFR?
FOB can suit buyers who control freight; CIF includes freight and insurance to the named port; CFR includes freight but not marine insurance. Select the basis that matches your broker and risk-control process.
Can an excavator ship in a container?
Some units can be dismantled for a 40ft container, while larger or wider machines may require flat-rack or RoRo handling. The loading method depends on dimensions, weight and carrier acceptance for the exact unit.
What documents should I request before payment?
Request the exact unit identification, current photos or video, invoice, packing list, proposed bill-of-lading details, origin information and the agreed inspection scope. Confirm destination import requirements with your broker.
